The noise from this bow is no different than many of the higher end bows. Shot my hunting blades and are holding the same pattern. I have shot groupings at each yardage marker on the scope that are within 2 inches and thats using steady sticks and not a bench rest. The bow feels great to shoot and has awesome speed even when paired with 425g bolts. The scope which I read was the worst part of the package is actually not bad at all the clarity is great and yardage markings are pretty true to aim once dialed in correctly. Assembly was easy and the instruction are great. The barnett and centerpoint bows that fell within this price range felt good but not as good as the boss did. I bought this crossbow after reading many reviews and narrowing my choices down to three. With 125 grain tips for total 467 grain bolts.

I use heavier pile driver bolts for accuracy and to preserve the limbs cables and string. I replaced the scope with the killer instinct lumix speedring.

Do yourself a favor a buy the crossbow!! It will keep your freezer full of fresh venison. I bought the DSC for it but it's easy enough to use the rope cocker.
